Baths of Talara

This is a place of archaeological interest because of the Roman baths. The floor is decorated with geometric shapes and there is also a royal, paleo Christian chair.

It is worth visiting the Baths of Talaras, where you can see wonderful mosaics from the Hellenistic era. At the center of this mosaic, there is the personification of Time who is holding the globe as well as representations of the zodiac and the four seasons. The Baths were built in the Late Roman period (3rd – 4th century BC).

Panagia Portaitissa of the Castle

The Church of Panagia Portaitissa is considered one of the most beautiful churches in the Dodecanese. It was founded in the 18th century at the entrance of the castle (position Rodia). It was built in the honor of Panagia Portaitissa and legend has it that the icon found in the church was “drawn” by itself the moment it was placed on wood.
